Well Trunk or Treat was tonight. But first we went to the kids' school for a Halloween parade. Before it started Tyson decided to have me take pictures of all of his many faces. Silly boy!! If you don't know what Trunk or treat is...everyone gets together at the church and the kids trick or treat out of everyone's car trunk...they are decorated to be Halloweeny...so fun.
Well Nate has reached a milestone in his life. He finished the sprinklers in our backyard. FINALLY. I mean the man dug the trenches by hand and did it all himself. GO NATE !! So now we might actually have grass and plants and maybe a fence next year. I am so excited. It is pretty sad when the highlight of your life is landscaping. So here is a pic of his fabulous trenching and the finished lines.
Here is Tyson with the present Ellie picked for him. She grabbed some cardstock and crayons and made him the cutest card She is such a good big sister.
Kyle just turned 8 years old and instead of a cake on the day of his birthday he chose cinnamon rolls. So I ended up cooking all day but it was worth it. They are sooooooo yummy. So here he is blowing out his candles with his eyes closed. Happy Birthday Kyle James !!!
There are five things I have learned as I have grown older.
1. Don't ever give a three year old scissors around your daughter with long hair 2. Don't brush your teeth and then eat an orange 3. When your big sister throws a wet washcloth on the ceiling in the bathtub the drops that are left there are NOT bat eggs (Cynthia...) 4. You will NOT get sucked down the drain with the bath water 5. And finally it is BEST to wear cowboy boots with JUST a diaper on it is oh so comfortable.
This is Katelyn...wonderfully, silly, cute, energetic, kind, smart, sweet, Katelyn. I can't say enough about my cute neice....but I don't have to say anything..the picture says it all. Kids are the GREATEST !!!!!
So I guess I am now officially "OLD". Kyle (my oldest) just got baptized on saturday October 11. It brought back so many memories of my own baptism. I can't believe how fast time goes by. Sometimes I am afraid that if I blink I will miss everything. What a huge milestone in his life. Kyle has come so far in the last few years. It seems like only yesterday I would come home crying from church because he had bit someone or hit someone. I just remember hoping that people would see what a good heart he really does have. Now I see how kind and loving he is becoming and I truly am in awe of his desire to do what is right and the love he has already for the Savior and our Heavenly Father. I am so thankful that he made this choice in his life and I will never forget the speakers and the spirit that was felt before and after the baptism. I LOVE YOU KYLE.
